Chipotle #483 | Rockford, IL
During the last quarter of 2018, we worked with Chipotle #483 on multiple occasions to provide site assessments and repairs. One of the first things our technician witnessed upon the site survey was a bird trapped in the blower assembly. In this case, the blower was in need of replacement. Your unit’s blower assembly is responsible for pushing gases out of your pipes. Birds can become trapped inside of the blower, causing harm to them and preventing the escape of the gas (see below). A simple fix is a stainless steel termination vent screen, which blocks the center space, but still permits proper ventilation. Please note that the vent screen can also aid the prevention of damage from rodents and insects in water heater vents, power vents, and exhaust vents.
This Chipotle also experienced a loss of hot water in December 2018, due to a leaking heater. Luckily, our technicians were able to assess the site and work with the management team and kitchen staff at Chipotle to find a four hour period to perform the changeout. The site assessment revealed that the existing A.O. Smith BTH 199 water heater was leaking. As a result, it was determined that the most effective replacement system was an A.O. Smith ATI-540 which is a tankless unit. The tankless unit was also coupled with a TJV120M (a 120 gallon) Storage Tank.
Our staff is equipped with the tools necessary to serve your home and business, as well as the knowledge and experience to provide you with information about interest in replacing your existing water heater with a tankless unit.
