Protect Your Basement With a Reliable Sump Pump System

A properly working sump pump is an important part of protecting your basement from unwanted water. If your existing sump pump has failed, is aging, or you want additional protection during a power outage, U.S. Water Heating Solutions offers professional residential sump pump installation and replacement.

We offer standard sump pump replacements as well as combination sump pump systems with battery backup. Our technicians can help you choose a system based on your home's needs, sump pit configuration and desired level of backup protection.

Sump Pump Installation Options

We offer three residential sump pump solutions:

Battery Backup Sump Pump Systems

For homeowners who want additional protection during power outages or primary pump failure, a combination sump pump system provides both a primary pump and a battery-powered backup pump.

Watchdog Combo Battery Backup Sump Pump

Our popular Watchdog combination system includes a primary sump pump and a 12-volt battery backup pump designed to provide continued pumping capability when the primary pump is unavailable.

The Watchdog system includes:

  • 1/2 HP cast-iron primary pump
  • 12-volt backup pump
  • Self-monitoring controller
  • Battery charger
  • Dual float switches
  • Battery box
  • Pre-installed check valves
  • Rubber union and Y-connector
  • Backup system components and installation hardware

A maintenance-free AGM standby battery is available for the backup system. Homeowners who want remote monitoring can also add the Watchdog Wi-Fi control module.

Watchdog Wi-Fi monitoring is an optional upgrade and is not included in the standard system.

Premium Zoeller Combo Battery Backup Sump Pump

For homeowners looking for a premium backup solution, we also offer a Zoeller combination sump pump system featuring separate primary and battery-backup pumps.

The system is designed to provide primary pumping capability along with a 12-volt backup pump for additional protection when the primary pump cannot operate.

A maintenance-free AGM standby battery is available for the backup system.

Standard Sump Pump Replacement

If you simply need to replace your existing sump pump, we offer professional installation of a 1/2 HP stainless-steel sump pump.

Our professional-grade RIDGID sump pump features dual suction, a 1-1/2-inch discharge and a 1/2 HP motor. The pump is designed for dependable residential sump-pump applications and carries a manufacturer's warranty.

This option is appropriate for homeowners who need to replace an existing sump pump without adding a battery-backup system.

Why Consider a Battery Backup Sump Pump?

A primary sump pump can remove water from your basement during normal operation, but what happens if the power goes out during a heavy storm?

A battery backup sump pump provides a second pumping system that can operate when the primary pump is unavailable. This can provide an additional layer of protection during situations such as:

  • Power outages
  • Primary sump pump failure
  • Heavy rain
  • Storms
  • Unexpected increases in groundwater
  • Mechanical problems with the primary pump

A battery backup system does not guarantee that flooding will never occur, but it can provide valuable additional pumping capability when your primary system cannot operate.

Sump Pump Replacement

Sump pumps don't last forever. If your pump is making unusual noises, running continuously, failing to remove water, or simply reaching the end of its expected service life, replacement may be appropriate.

Our technicians can evaluate your existing sump pump and recommend an appropriate replacement or backup system.

Common signs that you may need sump pump service include:

  • The sump pump won't turn on
  • The pump runs continuously
  • The pump is making unusual noises
  • Water remains in the sump pit
  • The pump turns on but doesn't remove water
  • The sump pump has stopped working
  • Your existing pump is old or unreliable
  • You want battery backup protection
  • Your home has experienced basement water problems

Professional Sump Pump Installation

Proper installation is important for reliable sump pump operation. Our technicians install residential sump pump systems and can evaluate the existing pump, discharge connection and sump configuration as part of the installation process.

Depending on the system selected, installation may include the primary pump, backup pump, battery, controller, check valves, discharge connections and related components.

We'll explain the available options and help you understand what is included before work begins.

Choose the Right Sump Pump Protection for Your Home

Every home and sump pit is different. Some homeowners simply need to replace a failed primary pump, while others want the added protection of a battery backup system.

U.S. Water Heating Solutions offers:

  • Standard Sump Pump Replacement: A straightforward replacement when you need a new primary sump pump.
  • Watchdog Battery Backup System: A combination primary and battery-backup system with optional Wi-Fi monitoring.
  • Premium Zoeller Battery Backup System: A premium combination system with separate primary and battery-backup pumps.

Our technicians can help you determine which option best fits your home and existing sump pump system.
