The need for water heater service in Michigan has been steadily growing since we first expanded our zip code coverage when Larry, our Indiana/Michigan border based technician joined the team. Our family has expanded once again, with the addition of our second Michigan based technician, Allen, who will run operations from Lincoln Park (in the Down River area, just outside of Detroit).

Allen is a recent Northwestern Technological Institute graduate, with certifications for Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Technology. In the past, he has worked as an HVAC service technician, roofer, landscaper, and fire/water damage restoration technician. His experience as an HVAC technician made Allen the perfect fit for our team, due to his experience troubleshooting furnaces and air conditioning units. He is also looking forward to sharing his knowledge with our customers because educated consumers are empowered consumers. Customers in need of mechanical services want timely, trustworthy service that may save them money in the long run. Although Allen is one of our younger technicians, he would like his customers to be assured of his honest and trustworthy character: “Even though I look young, I know what I’m doing.” Allen is currently finishing his training in Wisconsin, with Kevin. Once completed, he will return to Michigan to perform service and await further training at A.O. Smith University.

The Future of USWHPRO Service in Detroit

In addition to his impressive amount of mechanical experience and concern for customers, Allen also aspires to become the Regional Head of Technicians for the Detroit Area, as our company continues to grow. Together with, John (our Baldwin-based technician), Allen hopes to share his knowledge of the water heater and HVAC industries with other techs and become an important bridge between USWHPRO and Detroit.

Outside of the mechanical world, Allen is an avid gamer and enjoys spending his free time in Downtown Detroit. One of his favorite spots is Campus Maritus a.k.a. “The Marsh.” The park has everything from gardens to fountains to a seasonal ice rink.
